From The Angel Bus by Mark Pirie

Eyes

(a blues song)

Dyes of ruin live in your eyes
The pain of beauty transfixes my lies
Believe in me sweetheart, I am true
No longer will I leave you so blue

Your eyes are pits of weeping blackness
Waiting to be filled into pools of happiness
Believe in me sweetheart, I am true
No longer will I leave you so blue

Haven't I acted the fool, I can taste the pain
But now join together, let's rid this acid rain
Believe in me sweetheart, I am true
No longer will I leave you so blue

Life Is What You Make It

Days end and others begin
Inside you want to sin
Never remember why you exist
Look at others and persist

Chores of life can't be broken
Facing up is your pain token
Reality sucks that's the way it is
Conform or lose, the system shits

Chorus: Life is what you make it
            Reach out and take it

Storms form under the skin
Earth eyes are trapped by sin
Work and play must resist
The reason for why you persist

Soon you have to give up drinking
Reality sucks that's the way it is
Conform or lose, the system shits

Chorus: Life is what you make it
            Reach out and take it
